Painter and illustrator, Francisco Gómez Soler was formed in the School of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi, in Barcelona. Specializing in composition, he took part in the Fine Arts Exhibitions held in Barcelona in 1894 and 1896, as well as in the International Exhibition of Santiago de Chile, where he received an honorable mention. He also participated in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts of 1895. Of particular interest was his activity as an illustrator of newspapers and magazines of the time, with scenes of Catalan society.
