The style of Gil Pons is characterized by a classic post-impressionism, linked to the thematic of the Majorcan costumbrismo, as we see in his markets or in the representations of the mountain towns, as well as in landscapes of the Mountain range of Tramuntana. His first exhibition, held in 1965, was the beginning of a long exhibition career that led him to exhibit in cities such as Palma, Barcelona and Valencia, as well as in other important German galleries. His lively and saturated palette reflects in large canvases all the essence of his island.
