Pere Segimon was formed in the School of La Llotja of Barcelona with Félix Mestres, and later he completed his studies in Paris, where he began to exhibit his work. In 1923 he presented several works at the Sala Parés in Barcelona, and in 1927 he spent a season copying the masters of the Prado Museum in Madrid. After the civil war he exhibited repeatedly in the Augusta Galleries (1947-52), among other Barcelona galleries. A deaf-mute painter, he specialized in figurative themes, although he also excelled in painting flowers and still lifes, with a language that combines academicism and impressionism.
