Although Juan Urrios stands out as a photographic portraitist, with work in the Fundació Vila Casas, on this occasion he offers us a piece of neoplasticist heritage. The title itself, "Un cara a cara amb piet nº 3", alludes to the avant-garde painter Piet Mondrian, the main inaugural representative of Russian abstraction alongside the Russians Vasili Kandinski and Kazimir Malevich. In this ilfordchrome, Urrios plans the painting by reducing it to its basic elements until the essence of plastic language is reached. To this end, he favoured the use of straight lines and neutral colours such as black and white. We can see how beauty is reduced to simple forms.
