Sofa of carved wood structure in Louis XVI style, characterized by the successful ornamentation throughout. Thus, we see truncated conical legs with molded profiles (especially in the waist and in the top) and sinuous curved forms typical of Louis XVI furniture. In this case it is worth mentioning the upholstery that follows the aesthetic patterns of the Aubusson style, in ocher and pink tones with a floral decoration combined with scrolls and vegetal elements, as well as a figurative scene in the center of the backrest in this case. The Louis XV Style corresponds to the courtly French Rococo, the main style during this century. However, the usual movement of these examples is softened as an influence of works already in the Neoclassical style of the 19th century.
