DESCRIPTION
Cooker. Stockholm, ca. 1800.
Glazed and polychrome terracotta.
Measurements: 230 x 62 cm.
Cooker dated around 1800, made in white glazed terracotta, with a gilded front cover. The foot of the chimney has a cylindrical shape and is decorated with large circular and horizontal mouldings of great sobriety. An upper body rests on the base in the form of a palm tree flanked by two cherubs. Bunches of grapes and vine leaves decorate the stem. The neatness of the white colour combines with the distinction of the gilding.
