A serpentine pattern decorates the lower part of this vase while the rest of the body is bathed in a caldera color of great sophistication.

Glass vase designed by Archimede Seguso. Born in Murano, at the age of 11 he began working in the kiln and perfected his skills emulating 18th century glass pieces. At the age of twenty he became an excellent master glassmaker, distinguishing himself also with the newly born heavy glass making. He hires first Vittorio Zecchin and then Flavio Poli as designers in the family factory "Seguso Vetri d'Arte". From the 30s is invited to exhibit at the Venice Biennale, where, until 1972, is the Pavilion "Venice" dedicated to Murano glass.
