Folding game table; China, Canton, 20th century.
Xuanjimu wood.
Measurements: 78 x 80 x 80 cm.
Game table made of xuanjimu wood with four drawers at waist height on each side of the table. The four legs are joined by two crossbars that allow the table to be folded. The furniture has a light and slender design, starting with carved and slightly arched legs. The whole is of great refinement, characteristic of Cantonese craftsmanship of the early 19th century.
