Genaro Palau was formed in the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos, where he was a disciple of Javier Juste, Salvá and Joaquín Sorolla. His work earned him the title of Professor of Perspective and Landscape at the School of Fine Arts in Valencia and its director from 1928. He was, above all, known for his luminous landscapes, in which experts saw an extraordinary gift for color. His work is preserved in numerous private collections and in institutions such as the National Museum of Ceramics González Martí and the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia.
