Don Pedro Cámara, was trained at the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos. Among the awards he deserved throughout his career, are the honorary mention of the Senyera Prize, 1959; the first University Painting Prize, 1960, and the Scholarship of the French Government and the City Council of Valencia to study at the Casa Velázquez in Madrid (1964). A year later, in 1965, he received the extension of this same pension and was awarded the Diputación Provincial de Valencia Pintor Ribera Prize. In 1966, he was honored with the Valencia Prize of the National Exhibition of Fine Arts and, the following year, he received the Provincial Council of Castellón. Later, he would add to his artistic achievements the Third Medal for Painting at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in Madrid, 1968, and well into the 70's, he was selected by the Commissariat of Exhibitions of the Ministry of Education and Science for the National Exhibition of Fine Arts. In 2003, the Valencia City Council paid tribute to the painter through a retrospective exhibition at the City Museum.
