Chinese ethnic minority tunic in Southeast Asia. Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Indonesia). Late 19th - early 20th century.
Silk, metal, pearls.
Very good condition, with minimal discoloration.
Measurements: 130 x 227 cm.

Chinese silk robe, worked in shades of red, blue and yellow, with silk embroidery and metal threads depicting flowers, scrolls, fruits and phoenixes, adorned with small silver medallions. A five-clawed dragon is depicted in metallic threads on the front and back of the sash; the sash ends in tassels.
