In his singular work, the Japanese artist Haroshi combines his two great passions: skateboarding and sculpture. His is a unique art, the result of carving the wood of recycled skateboards and with which he reproduces anatomical fragments also arranged on skateboard surfaces. He has been doing it for almost two decades, enjoying a great international acclaim. He has exhibited his sculptural skateboards all over the world, in galleries in London, New York, Tokyo, Berlin and Paris, among others. By representing body parts on skateboards in sculpture, he intends to pay tribute to the daring of skateboarders, who practice a risky sport, risking their physique with all kinds of pirouettes.
