Napoleon III table clock; France, second half of the nineteenth century.
Gilded calamine and alabaster.
Presents faults and losses. No key or pendulum.

Napoleon the Third period table clock made of gilded calamine and alabaster. The piece is supported on five gilded legs, the lateral ones being volutes finished with acanthus leaves. The base has a mixtilinear structure with rounded side profiles, and the central area is forward, so that a play of volumes is created. On this base is arranged the watch case designed with a white dial with Roman numerals in black and black hands type breguet. Finally, the piece ends with the sculptural presence of two children representing a scene inspired by the gallant images.
