Blackened French cutlery box by Morel & Cie orfèvres Bijouteries Rue N°9 St. Augustin in Paris for the Barons de Rothschild, Frankfurt, with the motto "Concordia Inegritas Industria".

At least 50 were made by various silversmiths for the Vladimirov company. This firm was based in St. Petersburg, Nevsky pr. 31, and supplied, among others, Grand Duchess Alexandra Petrovna (1838-1900), great-granddaughter of Tsar Paul I and married to Tsar Nicholas I's third son, Nikolai (1831-1891). The company's history dates back to the end of the 19th century and the end of the Tsarist Empire.
