Painter, muralist and decorator of the first half of the 20th century, son of Ramón Stolz Seguí, Stolz Viciano always signed with his two surnames, possibly to distinguish himself from his father. This was also his first teacher, with whom he began an artistic training that he would continue, after studying at the Industrial School of Valencia (1917-22), at the Schools of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia (1922-24) and San Fernando, in Madrid (from 1924). Later he made a series of trips around Europe, between 1926 and 1935, and during his stay in Paris he specialized in fresco painting. In 1936 he obtained the position of interim professor at the School of San Fernando, and that same year he took part in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts. Later he was appointed full professor (1943) and academic (1958). After the war he worked on the restoration project of the frescoes by Goya, González Velázquez and Bayeu in the Basílica del Pilar in Zaragoza, where he also painted several murals. Later he also carried out restoration work and mural painting in places such as the Teatro Principal in Valencia, the Real Cortijo de San Isidro in Aranjuez, the Civil Government of Santander, the Ateneo Mercantil of Valencia and the City Hall of the same city. Today his work is also preserved in collections such as the Prado Museum (work on deposit at the MNCARS), the Museum of Jaen or the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
