This work is part of a series of works on handmade paper that the artist Victoria Raval developed between 2013 and 2017. The artist was inspired by this quote from the Chinese thinker Zhuangzi: "between strength and softness the hand finds and the head responds. It is an ability that I cannot express in words." From it, she proposed how to put in dialogue visually, with a contemporary language, strength and softness, escape and capture.
She has a degree in Fine Arts and Art History. Since 1985, she has been the director of the Molí Paperer Museum in Capellades. In 2008 she was appointed Master Craftswoman by the Generalitat de Catalunya. She has taught numerous paper workshops in Catalonia and around the world. 1982 Spanish Ministry of Culture grant for young artists. Founding member of IAPMA (International Association of Papermakers and Artists), Honorary Member of ACCA (Catalan Association of Art Critics).
