One of the last painters of the so-called School of Paris and outstanding illustrator, Serna Ramos studied at the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos de Valencia, where he had as teachers Genaro Lahuerta, Octavio Vicent and Tusset, among others. In 1956 he moved to Paris, where he began his pictorial career and expanded his training at the School of Fine Arts in the French capital, in the company of the painter Henri Goetz. In his workshop he would develop definitive plastic concepts, on which he has been basing his own artistic language. Between 1960 and 1975 Serna Ramos exhibited regularly at the Salons d'Hiver and des Antiquaires in Paris, and at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. In 1964 he also took part in the Biennial of that city. He is represented in the most important collections in the world, such as the Rothschild, the Waterman, the Offenstadt, the Hellman (all in the United States), and in others in Germany, Scotland, Belgium, Holland and Italy, and in the D'Ovar Museum in Portugal.
