This portrait shows a religious whose calm and austere countenance reflects the dignity of his vocation. The personage, with a rounded face and serene expression, directs his gaze towards a point outside the painting, which gives him a contemplative air. His dark hair is combed back, leaving his face completely visible, framed by the soft light that highlights the pallor of his skin.
The cleric wears a traditional black habit, composed of a cassock buttoned in front and a short cloak or ferreruelo that rests on his shoulders, adorned with a simple but elegant red line that highlights the edges and buttons. The white collar stands out discreetly, symbolizing purity and commitment to ecclesiastical life.
