In this canvas the painter picks up a tradition that sinks its roots in the Flemish baroque, with a painting centered in the still life but that also counts on the important presence of the arts. As in baroque works, the food (in this case musical instruments and flowers) are worked with great detail and luminous sensitivity, paying special attention to the qualities. In addition, they appear rationally organized, in a pyramidal composition of disorderly appearance, which is slightly displaced with respect to the center of the painting, to the left.
