DESCRIPTION
ANTONI ROS I GÜELL (San Martín de Provensals, Barcelona, 1878 - Badalona, 1954).
"Fluvial landscape". 1906.
Oil on canvas.
Signed and dated in the lower right corner.
It has two small patches on the back.
Measurements: 130 x 160 cm; 137 x 167 cm (frame).
Painter, set designer and decorator, Ros i Güell exhibited assiduously in the Sala Parés of Barcelona, and took part in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts and in some Universal ones. He also participated in group exhibitions in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Brussels, Vienna and Buenos Aires. His awards include second medals in Athens, Madrid and Mexico and third medals in Madrid, Buenos Aires and the Paris Salon. He is represented in the Prado Museum, the MACBA of Barcelona and the Municipal of Badalona, as well as in numerous private collections.
