Four oil paintings on glass representing different episodes narrated in the Old Testament. We clearly recognize the theme of the Exodus, in the figure of Moses who, as a baby, was left in the Nile River by his mother. Pharaoh had ordered the death of all newborn Hebrew males, to prevent the Hebrews from growing in number and rebelling against the Egyptians. Jochebed placed Moses in a basket and left him in the river Nile, trusting that God would take care of him. Another theme depicted is the sacrifice of Abraham, called by God to sacrifice his son Isaac. At the last moment, God, seeing Abraham's devotion and faithfulness to him, intervenes and replaces the child with a ram. The classicist and colorful style of the four scenes relate them to the Neapolitan school of the 18th century, although they could also respond to a Majorcan invoice.
