The activity of the Valencian poster artists during the civil war was very important, as is evidenced by the large number of works they produced. For the first time in the history of the Valencian Country the plastic creators assumed a commitment of defense of the II Republic threatened by the fascism and they took it to the last consequences. The posters of Toledo enjoyed great popularity among the population and the republican fighters.
