This "Cow Horn" chair by Lucian Ercolani is characterized by the quality of the material and the craftsmanship of the design, together with the fluidity of the whole thanks to the handling of the subtle curves in the crossbar backrest and the tapered legs.

A prolific and talented designer, he left his mark on the world of design with numerous pieces. The Butterfly chair (1958), the Windsor series (1956) and the Quaker chair (1960) are creations recognized today for their design and quality. Biography Lucian Ercolani was born in Italy in 1888. At the age of 10 he went to live with his parents in England. He studied at the Shoreditch Technical Institute, where he learned furniture design and manufacture. In 1910 he met Frédérik Parker and worked in his company. For the next 10 years he worked for the Parker Group, a company that later partnered with Willi Knoll to become Parker Knoll. The company is famous for the design and quality of its armchairs and chairs. He also worked with Gomme's. At the age of 32 he founded his own furniture production company, ERCOL. The company enjoyed an international reputation thanks to its famous designs and the excellent quality of its production.
