Set consisting of two armchairs and a small two-seater sofa. All the pieces have wheels on the front legs, barely noticeable because the structure of all the seats is hidden under an embroidered silk upholstery. Each of the pieces has a different finish with a different color as a base and different embroidery, although all of them have plant and bird motifs as the main element of the ornamentation.
Aesthetically and technically the pieces are largely reminiscent of the work of Manila shawls. In the case of Filipino artists, their work gained great importance in the Spanish market during the 19th-20th century, since, despite being a Spanish colony, there was a great lack of knowledge of both its population and its customs, and there was a proliferation of fairs and events in Spain, where part of this culture was shown.
