The furniture has the characteristic structure of the neoclassical style, although the more advanced style is beginning to appear. Thus, we are faced with a piece of furniture with a monumental structure characteristic of the Empire style. Also typical of this style is the combination of noble wood with gilded metal, although in this case there are only appliqués in the locks of the upper zone. The furniture presents a refined decoration, reflected in simple lines and measured and symmetrical figurations. Characteristic of the furniture of the period is the influence of neoclassical roots, inspired by Greco-Roman antiquity, so that the sofa has ornamental motifs of this style such as scrolls worked symmetrically in the corners of the waist of the sofa.
