Produced by the Biblioteca Nacional and Vicente García Editores in 1966.
Copy with reference number Vitr. 22-4, being number 41 of a print run of 1.460.
Measurements: 12 x 8,5 cm.
Allegorical poem written in vulgar Italian by Francesco Petrarca. Articulated in twelve chapters regrouped in six "Triumphi" (love, modesty, death, fame, time and eternity), each of them dedicated to one of the visions that the author had in a dream.
The work analyzes the ideal path from sin to redemption, a theme rooted in medieval times. Petrarch directly confronts the Dantesque poem, both from a structural and allegorical perspective.
It has the presence of numerous allegories, quotations and references to visions, which was very much in vogue at the time.
The facsimile is illuminated, whose capital letters are decorated as well as the edges of some of the pages, presenting vegetations and small scenes and miniatures related to the reading.
The exterior of the book is lined with velvety cloth and decorated with the papal capelet on both the front and back.
