Vincent Strebelle, son of the architect Claude Strebelle and nephew of the sculptor Olivier Strebelle, spends his youth in the Congo to study Fine Arts in Liege and Brussels between 1964 and 1968. In the latter year he received several awards, and in 1985 the honorary mention "La Jeune Peinture Belge". His monumental creations articulate numerous public spaces in countries such as France or China.
In this piece, halfway between reality and surrealism, the author captures a sort of astronaut with a diving suit from the beginning of the last century in bronze, skillfully worked and with a patina that seems to have succumbed to the passage of time.
