Scene of popular struggle in the context of the urban conflicts of the nineteenth century, probably inspired by a previous painting. It is a marquetry plafond combining different fruit woods, some with subtle shades of green or blue. During these clashes, barricades on city streets were a common form of resistance by citizens, especially in Madrid and other large cities.
