A set of six chairs, model 78. Designed in 1962.
In solid rosewood.
Seats newly upholstered in cognac aniline Vacona leather.
Made at J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik. With stickers.
Measurements: 81 x 48,5 x 48 cm. 46,5 cm. (seat height).
The Danish cabinetmaker and designer Niels Otto Møller is especially known for his elegant furniture in teak, rosewood and rosewood. One of the best representatives of post-war Danish furniture design, his creations are characterised by their high technical and material quality. He completed his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in 1939, and then continued his studies at the Aarhus School of Design. In 1944 he founded the J. L. Møller furniture factory in Aarhus. From then on, he would publish all his creations through this firm, which is still active today and run by his heirs. Throughout his career, Møller won numerous awards, including the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and 1981.
