DESCRIPTION
ILLUM WIKKELSØ (Denmark, 1919 - 1999) for Møbelfabriktoften Toften.

This table responds to Wikkelsø's functional and minimalist aesthetic, as well as the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. It is raised on triangular legs and exploits to the maximum the play of full and empty spaces thanks to the cantilevered slat that connects the legs laterally to each other.
Illum Wikkelsø was one of the most renowned Danish designers, despite being one of the least known. It is known that he graduated from the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen, and that he worked for Jacob Kjaer and for the architectural firm of Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard-Nielso, where he left his mark on Danish furniture design, which came to spread around the world.
