This 20th century Spanish painting clearly reflects the influence of the main artistic avant-gardes of the time. With a style that could be placed between surrealism and conceptual art, the work combines symbolic elements with a minimalist composition and a chromatic palette dominated by orange and blue tones.
In the foreground, a glass of water containing small fish stands out, a surrealist element that invites us to question the relationship between the everyday and the dreamlike. This resource is reminiscent of the postulates of artists such as Salvador Dalí or René Magritte, where common objects are transformed into symbols loaded with meaning.
