DESCRIPTION
FRANCISCO OTERO BESTEIRO (O Corgo, Lugo, 1933 - Madrid, 1994).
"Wild boar", 1961.

Signed and dated in the lower right corner.
Measurements: 19 x 27 cm; 32 x 40 cm (frame).
Sculptor and painter, Francisco Otero Besteiro studied Fine Arts in Madrid at the end of the forties, and in 1960 he obtained a scholarship of the Foundation March to extend his formation in Rome. He then spent some time in Paris, before finally returning to Madrid for good. In 1979 he was awarded the Bouedelle prize, and was also awarded at the Biennial of Alexandria. He exhibited his work in several Spanish cities, and made several monuments. He is currently represented in the Carlos Maside Museum, the Caja de Ahorros Provincial de Orense and other collections, both public and private.
