Chaintres Chateau is a charming 17th century manor house located in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation. "The wine estate extends over some twenty hectares, including the famous Clos du Château, of exceptional dimensions and unique in the appellation. Since 1938, the Tigny family has continued the tradition by offering you refined wines, including Saumur Champigny. Elisabeth de Tigny Mourot, general manager, combines tradition and modernity to offer quality wines. We are one of the first Sustainable Agriculture certified estates in the appellation. In conversion since 2010, our wines are certified organic from the 2013 vintage by the Ecocert France label", says the winery itself.
