Rapo Rixxar is an eminently self-taught artist. Born and trained in Barcelona, his work arises from conflict and personal search. The world of surfing and tattooing, to which he dedicated himself for a time, have marked his work and his style, although he abandoned the art of painting on skin to investigate painting on large formats and free creativity, action painting and free association. In his works he often includes collage, with the addition of diverse materials that provide texture and symbolic and material density to the pieces. Rapo Rixxar's style is colorful and vital, although some of his works emanate a contained, latent aggressiveness. Surfing, Barcelona's urban and underground culture, street art and a touch of hooliganism are contained in his canvases. The artist has held several exhibitions in Barcelona.
