Many of the works that Oswaldo Aulestia made between 1999 and 2008 were forgotten in different folders during all these years. They were incomplete pieces, cut-out works that he never finished, characters and abstract pieces that he made at the end of the 1990s, etc. Consequently, in the 2000s, the author decided to make fifty pieces taking advantage of all the clippings he had, a motive that inspired the title of the series presented here, "Clippings", this collage being one of them.
Oswaldo Aulestia trained in Barcelona, Paris and Milan, directing his career towards research and the avant-garde. He collaborated with avant-garde groups in America and France, dedicating himself to "performances". In the eighties he participated in the Venice Biennale with a laboratory group. Throughout his career he has held numerous exhibitions, both in Spain and in other European countries. He has also won several national and international awards, and his works have been acquired by institutions and collectors in Italy, France, Spain, Argentina, the United States, Holland and Switzerland.
