Matt Gondek's work celebrates rebellion and destruction. With a visceral pop color palette and a surprisingly fun tone, he takes down cartoon idols, as if slaughtering our modern gods. His style has roots in the 1990s. He has had solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Mexico City, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Detroit and Pittsburgh.
