Tempera on wood.
It has cracks, flaws in the wood and polychrome, xylophages on the back. It needs restoration.
Measurements: 35,5 x 31,5 cm.
Icon of Christ as a Pantocrator that represents Jesus of half body, in frontal and hieratic posture. Christ holds in his left hand the open book of the Gospel, in front of the congregation, and with his right hand, according to the orthodox rite of Byzantine tradition of blessing with the open palm and the articulation of the thumb and the ring finger. In this type of icon the ineffable reality of God made Man is expressed.
