The set that we now present is distinguished by the neatness and brightness of its surface worked in the shape of a diamond point. The strong geometric shapes harmonize with the simplicity of the style and fit in with the brutalist trend, based on the adaptation of the original concept and idea in its raw state, adapting them to all spaces in a subtle and elegant way.
De Coene Frères was one of the leading European manufacturers of Art Deco furniture during the 1920s and 1930s. In the 1950s and 1960s, the company moved towards a more contemporary style (such as the table in question) and began working with renowned designers such as Alfred Hendrickx and Jules Wabbes. In addition to producing furniture, De Coene Frères also worked on numerous architectural projects, especially in Brussels (Palace of Justice or the Brussels National Airport).
