Measurements: 26 mm (case diameter); 33 x 28 mm (total case with crown); 14.5 cm (wrist diameter).

The Datejust watch symbolizes the Rolex definition of classic elegance. Launched in 1945, it was the first chronometer, self-winding and water-resistant wristwatch to introduce the date in a window located at 3 o'clock. The magnifying glass effect of this Cyclops lens is a reminder that "24 hours not only constitute a day, but also mark a date to remember," says Rolex. Hans Wilsdorf, Rolex's founder, described it as a technical feat, going so far as to state in 1945 that the Datejust was "the heyday of watchmaking. It synthesizes every discovery made to date". A ladies' version, the Oyster Perpetual Lady Datejust, was launched in 1957. "As reliable as the Datejust, it concentrates all the attributes of the original model," says the brand.

In the description of the watches when it is marked "in running condition" it means that the watch is in working order. Since collector's watches often have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery change, adjustment or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers, that is to say, we do not work with stock photography and that is why the photographs are considered part of the cataloging.
