DESCRIPTION
Water jug; Ceylon, nineteenth century.
Silver plated metal.
Measurements: 26,5 x 15 x 15 cm.
Pitcher made in silver metal that presents a round base on which sits a globular body that gives way to a long faceted neck. This ends in a round mouth with a semi-spherical lid that is joined with a hinge. Ornamentally the piece has details in the form of gadroons on the base and body and a ring in relief, which joins the neck to the body.
