The rituals of libation were usual in the ceremonies of the Antiquity. The libation consisted of the sprinkling of a drink in offering to a god. The liquids offered in the libations were varied, normally of unmixed wine, milk, honey or mead, oil, beer or other liquids, even pure water, which were poured on the ground.
