Pair of jewelry boxes with rectangular structure and rounded corners, with the four sides and the lid enameled with cloisonné technique. The oriental aesthetics can be seen in the scenes on the envelope: birds among flowering bouquets and branches with colorful corollas. Both scenes are bordered with vegetal fretwork. On the sides, fields of color in different shades of blue and green (glaucous, emerald, olive green) are combined with burgundy and yellow tones for the flowers. Geometric patterns alternate with vegetal designs of scrolls, corollas and borders. Gold filleting borders the lid and the mouth. The inside of the boxes are padded.

The cloisonné enamel applied to these boxes with birds and branches highlights the elegance and natural details characteristic of oriental art, as well as the delicacy and luxury of this type of decorative object. Cloisonné is an ancient enameling method that involves creating small compartments (cloisons, in French) with thin strips of metal that are then filled with enamel in hallmarks of contrasting colors and fired to achieve a glassy, shiny finish. The pieces show craftsmanship and evoke a rich artistic tradition, combining oriental symbolism with the meticulousness of enamel work.
