The geometric decoration of rhomboidal type that decorates this Nigerian door presents patterns similar to the prints of the clothing and the linear drawings of the tattoos of the Igbo ethnic group.
Igbo culture encompasses the customs, practices and traditions of the Igbo people of southeastern Nigeria. It includes both archaic practices and new concepts added to the Igbo culture, either by cultural evolution or by external influence. These customs and traditions include the visual art, music and dance of the Igbo people, as well as their dress, cuisine and linguistic dialects.
