The Longus 2005 is an extraordinary wine recognized nationally and internationally, with a special highlight being the score of 18.25 points awarded in 2009 by the British specialized magazine "Decanter", the highest rating, in a tasting of Spanish wines that included other renowned wines such as the Pintia 2005, from Vega Sicilia (16.81 points), or the Rioja Culmen Reserva Lan 2004 (17.52 points).
It also has other prestigious awards such as the Gold Medals of the 2008 Iberwine International Competition and the CINVE International Wines & Spirits Contest of the same year. It was also rated as one of the ten best wines of Aragón with 93 points by the Repsol Guide 2009, and was also awarded an honorable mention in the Spanish wine contest organized in 2008 by Perswijn and Vinos de España in the Netherlands.
Longus 2005 is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grapes from a selection of the best terroirs in the Bodegas Victoria vineyard, and has been aged for eighteen months in French oak barrels. It is a wine of great complexity and elegance, with a deep cherry red color, well covered, with cardinal reflections, and a bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, combined with balsamic, spicy and mineral notes. The palate is powerful, ample, fleshy and balanced, with a powerful structure and ripe tannins.
