Painter and sculptor. Basque artist who made his first individual exhibition in 1968 in the Affa Gallery in El Ferrol, which was followed by exhibitions, such as the one held in the gallery of peace in Mexico (1978), in the Gallery bay and Echeva room among others. Ignacio Cruceta belongs to the period during which the Basque school experienced a splendor and a resurgence of aesthetic forms. It became a center of great artistic interest thanks to the development of painting and sculpture. Starting from the idiosyncrasy of the popular culture of the Basque Country, the artists reformulated the concepts providing a new image, but with a great symbolic load linked to the land and tradition. It is interesting in this case to rescue the words of the sculptor Oteiza, about Cruceta "The ides of Basque life conforms the artistic experience of racial expressionism in a Basque scenography of theme and style, according to the perspective of a realistic art, of which Iñaki Cruceta is a clear and distinguished example".
