In 1929, when PELIKAN registered the patent for the differential plunger mechanism, no one imagined that this technique would be used to this day virtually unchanged, except for some minor modifications to improve its operation. A few years later, PELIKAN launched a demonstrator fountain pen in standard format.
Therefore, in 2011, PELIKAN decided to launch the Special Edition "Demonstrator M1005", the largest format fountain pen in the PELIKAN collection. The barrel and cap are completely transparent, which requires special attention during production, as the machine must be continuously cleaned to ensure that no particles of color or dust, however small, interfere with the beauty of the barrel's transparency. Special attention is paid to all technical parts, for example, the plunger must shine, without traces of lubricant, so that it shows in all its splendor.
The historic German brand Pelikan has more than 179 years of tradition in creating writing instruments of the highest standard.
