Manolo Prieto Benitez is especially known for being the creator of the billboard of the Osborne Bull in 1956, considered in 2005 cultural and artistic heritage of the people of Spain. After receiving a traditional education at the Academy of Fine Arts of Santa Cecilia in his hometown, Benitez moved to Madrid in 1930 where he would develop his entire career. He had a very prolific and recognized career, winning more than 40 national and international awards and distinctions. The artist himself stated in his autobiography: "Today I am a professional medal maker, with pieces in Museums and awards in National and International Competitions, and considered a first class medal sculptor".
