Graduated from the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Sant Jordi in Barcelona in 1974, Ramon Canet had his first individual exhibition at the Ariel Gallery in Plama in 1973. Since then he has shown his work regularly in his hometown, as well as in solo exhibitions in the main Spanish cities and in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin and Stockholm, among others, as well as in international fairs such as Arco, Art Frankfurt, Chicago International Art, Tokyo Art Expo, Art Asia, Art Cologne, Saga, etc. In 1996 he was selected by the Spanish Embassy in Indonesia to participate in the program "Ten of the best", exhibiting individually in Jakarta that same year. Founding partner of Ediciones 6ª Obra Gráfica, he has done an enormous amount of work in this field. Since 1991 he has been a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Sebastian. In 2002 he was awarded the Xam-Rotary Club Palma Ramon Llul prize in its first edition (2002). Ramon Canet is currently represented in the Es Baluard Museum in Palma de Mallorca, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, the National Chalcography and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ibiza, among other public and private collections.
