Frederic Lloveras was an outstanding painter, illustrator and watercolorist. Trained at the Cercle de Sant Lluc and at the School of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi, he began his career painting in oil. From 1936 to 1939 he devoted himself to drawing, to which he would add color, using watercolor above all, which would be his specialty, although he also frequently resorted to pastels. He is currently considered one of the best watercolorists of post-war Catalonia. In 1984, the Barcelona May Salon dedicated its edition to Lloveras as a posthumous tribute. His work is present in the Diocesan Museum of Barcelona, the Museum of Watercolor in Llançà, the Julio Quesada Museum in Crevillent and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santiago de Chile, among others.
