Domenge trained at the School of Fine Arts in Olot, where he later taught. He was a favourite disciple and follower of Joaquín Vayreda, for whom he often prepared his paintings. He completed his training at the La Lonja School in Barcelona, where he made his individual debut at the age of eighteen. He worked on portraits and religious themes, but was basically a landscape painter, more synthetic than his master and opposed to anything that hindered nature. His morning and twilight back-lights are particularly outstanding. He is mainly represented in the Museum of Fine Arts in Olot.
